Pediatric Audiology:  The Basics

Understanding the communication needs of a student with hearing loss starts with a basic knowledge of what he can and cannot hear.  This 38 minute course is a stand-alone audiology primer, essential for early intervention providers, teachers, pediatric speech-language pathologists and others who work on the educational team of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing.  This short course covers how the ear works, how to read an audiogram, the kinds of testing used to measure hearing levels of children of different ages, hearing devices, and more.

Target Audience: Early intervention providers, educators (especially teachers, speech-language pathologists, instructional assistants) who work with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and family members.

At the end of registration period, you will receive a voucher (coupon) code from VSDB Outreach, and can then take the course at your convenience from any location, within the time period allotted.
